Summary

This Pathway to involvement in dementia research has looked at different steps of research involvement. You should now have some tips and resources on:

  • What to think about before getting involved in dementia research

  • How to have conversations with research teams about involvement in their research

  • How to make sure you get the most of our being involved in research.

Researchers are responsible for making it as easy as possible for you to be involved in their research, and to benefit from it.

So, please remember to ask questions if you are unsure, and request whatever you need such as:

  • meeting reminders

  • briefings/debriefings

  • easy English/translated versions of materials

  • hard copy mail-outs

  • or anything else you might need.
